SketchUp Labs is a new program which lets us test features before they are fully ready. Though they are unfinished, we feel that Labs features still offer significant value to the community. You can think of these features as a sneak peak into the future of SketchUp. You also have a chance to help shape it as well. These Labs features are something more than a beta test. We’re interested in obtaining feedback early so we can prioritize future work.
To start, we have Live Components which are a new kind of configurable Component. Right now you can work with some Live Components created by us, but we'll be bringing the ability to create your own soon enough as well.
